REILLY'S
BEER
Reilly's beer inherits its brand story from George Gaskin, an Irish American singer popular in New York around the early 1900's who was credited with instigating the myth of 'The life of Reilly'. His 1897 song, 'The Best in the House is None Too Good for Reilly', elaborated on the whimsical idea of a wealthy Irishman being treated lavishly:
He's money for to pay,
So they let him have his way,
The best in the house is none too good for Reilly.

PERIOD
STYLING.
Reilly's beer brand styling takes its cues from early 1900's North-American design. The rich use of decoration, gold foiling, detailed engraved-like illustration, traditional serif, and script fonts are offset by a contemporary illustration of a 'dude' in sunglasses.

LABEL
PRODUCTION.
The labels were created by printing a CMYK 'gold' onto metallic paper, then overprinting a spot white, blue and red. This technique creates convincing, richly colored, and on-budget results.
PRODUCT
RANGE.
The brand uses a simple color range and a distinctive stylized description to clearly show the different types of beer in Reilly's stable.
